Winter Pear Oatmeal

Good morning foodies! I'm going to keep this one short, I promise.

I just really need to share a delicious flavour-packed breakfast that compliments really well with the winter weather we've been experiencing here in Sydney lately.

Its bound to get you running into your kitchens after seeing how easy this bowl of goodness is to make. Its filling too! Great for comfort food eaters like myself.

So what are you waiting for? Go on and read the damn recipe!

What You Need

1 cup rolled oats *gluten free oats will also work

1 1/2 cup almond milk *or any non-dairy milk

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 green pear, diced

4 tbsp maple syrup *or any sweetener of your choice

Handful of walnuts *save some to add as a garnish

How To Make It

Combine oats and milk in a medium sized saucepan and place on the stove on medium heat for three minutes.

Add vanilla, cinnamon, maple syrup, and the diced pear into the saucepan. Stir until well combined and leave on stovetop for 5 minutes or until the pear has softened.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and pour oatmeal into a bowl. Garnish with some cinnamon, walnuts, maple syrup and half a sliced pear.

Enjoy hot or leave to cool for a few minutes before digging in.

Hope you try this one out guys and let me know what you think if you do!
